On July 6-8, 2023, NIT Rourkela will host the 31st CRSI National Symposium in Chemistry (CRSI-NSC-31) and ACS Symposium Series in Chemistry under the auspices of the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI). The organising committee cordially invites you to this prestigious event. It will include medal lectures, poster presentations as well as special lectures by eminent chemists from India and abroad. The National Symposium in Chemistry serves as a forum for scientists, teachers and students in the country to discuss recent developments in chemical sciences. The event also aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and provide a platform for collaborative endeavours in interdisciplinary fields.
Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI)
CRSI was established in 1999 as part of the 50th Anniversary of the country’s independence. Currently, the CRSI represents more than 2000 lifetime members, who participate in the study, practice, teaching and promotion of chemistry. The main objectives of the CRSI are to recognize, promote and foster talent in chemistry and chemical sciences and to improve the quality of chemical education at all levels. The CRSI organizes conferences, seminars, workshops, symposia and other related programmes to facilitate and promote research in all branches of chemistry.
NIT Rourkela
The National Institute of Technology Rourkela is one of the premier national-level institutions for technical education in the country. It was established on 15 August 1961. Every faculty, staff, and student of NIT Rourkela is passionately committed to the mission of making India a world leader in technology and science and nurtures this commitment with honesty, hard work, and team spirit. Department of Chemistry, NIT Rourkela
The Department of Chemistry at the NIT Rourkela was established in 1961 and covers all the major areas of Chemistry. With 21 faculties from all major branches of Chemistry, and sophisticated techniques and facilities, the CY-NITR is becoming one of the most visible and vibrant departments among Indian Universities and Institutes and is also one of the leading departments in the country involved in the pursuit of high-quality cutting-edge research of international standards.
